映画 嵐が丘
日本でもなじみ深いエミリー・ブロンテによる名作文学を基にした映画。名作『ローマの休日』のウィリアム・ワイラー監督が、ローレンス・オリヴィエを主役に据え、切なくも甘美な愛の物語を見事なまでにスクリーンに焼き付けている。
映画 ラブストーリーズ エリナーの愛情
ある男女のひとつの物語を、男性側と女性側それぞれの視点から描いた「ラブストーリーズ」の女性主人公版。ジェシカ・チャステイン扮する女性エリナーと、ジェームズ・マカボイが演じる男性コナーの夫婦が、子どもを失ったことで結婚生活を解消し、新しい人生を歩み始める。どこかむなしい日々が続く2人がやがて再生していく過程や、同じものを求めながらもすれ違ってしまう男女それぞれ心の機微を、2作品を通して描き出す。監督は本作が長編初作品となるネッド・ベンソン。
