In the city of Oedo 2808a.d., three Cyber criminals are given two choices, to either rot in jail or to join a special force of the Cyber Police to get possibly one more chance at freedom ever again. For each criminal apprehended, and for each successful mission done, the state will agree to reduce their sentences. Lead by Hasegawa, the new recruits: Sengoku, Gogul, and Benton will bring some hard justice to Oedo and possibly taste freedom again.

はるか昔、賢帝歴三千四十八年、景光が魔物と契約してから20年後。とある街の酒場で、踊り子に化けた魔物と戦う青年・百鬼丸を目撃したコソ泥・どろろ。百鬼丸は身体の四十八カ所を魔物に奪われており、その欠けた箇所を義肢で補っていた。通りすがりの琵琶法師から百鬼丸の身の上話を聞いたどろろは、その左腕に仕込まれた魔物を爆発蒸散させることのできる妖刀に興味を持ち、つきまとうようになる。初めは鬱陶しがっていた百鬼丸だが、時を重ねていくうちにしだいに心を開き、共に魔物を倒し、元の身体を取り戻すための旅をする。 旅をしていく中で深まる二人の絆と、次々と明らかになってゆく百鬼丸の過去。どろろの両親の仇、醍醐景光とは何者か。何故百鬼丸は身体の四十八カ所を奪われたのか、百鬼丸の本当の両親は誰なのか。その謎が明かされたとき、物語は大きく動き出す。 父の野望のため身体を奪われし者、そして時の権力に両親を奪われし者、失われた身体と心を取り戻すための二人の旅は続く。

However, news that he is "The One Who Saved the Future" intrigues him, and he decides to travel through time to discover how cool he is. In the first time period he visits, Dexter finds a tall, skinny, weak version of himself working in office-designing cubicles, with Mandark as his rich, successful boss. The child Dexter unwittingly reveals the existence of blueprints regarding the "Neurotomic Protocore", and Mandark steals it after the two Dexters move forward in time.

傭兵のロイスは突如閃光に包まれ、気がつくとどこかの上空を落下していた。なんとかパラシュートを開き、着陸するがそこは得体の知れないジャングル。その後、すぐに同じように落下してきたエドウィン；クッチーロ；イサベル；ニコライ；ハンゾー；スタンズ；モンバサと合流し、医師と名乗ったエドウィン以外は、軍人や殺し屋など「殺人」のプロフェッショナルであるという共通点を持っていることが判明する。 8名はジャングルを脱出するため行動を共にし、やがて開けた場所に到着するが、空を見ると幾つかの大きな衛星が浮かんでおり、そこが地球でないことを理解する。さらに謎の狩猟動物の襲撃に遭い、自らが“狩りの獲物”であることに気づく。そしてロイス達は多数の生物が殺され展示されている場所に到達する。そこは謎の狩人の「狩猟キャンプ」であった。そこで奇怪なオブジェクトにくくりつけられたプレデターを発見する。イサベルによるとそれは、かつてアメリカの特殊部隊員を襲った生命体の特徴に酷似しているという。 その後、10シーズンもの間この惑星で生き抜いてきたというノーランドと合流、彼の隠れ家で敵の正体や特徴を知り、地球に帰還するために「彼ら」の宇宙船を奪うことを決意する。
